Wildhood Foundation
Wildhood Foundation’s founder Filippa Tarras-Wahlberg is fighting to stop poaching and illegal wildlife trade and dreaming of a future where wild animals still roam our planet. Through Wildhood, she raises awareness and funds to support selected local efforts which physically protects the wild animals from poachers in the field. That is park rangers, specially trained dogs and aircrafts for surveillance.
“What our dreams show us is that another reality is possible. Together with Wildhood, we want to inspire and spread knowledge of how each and everyone of us can use our power to change the future” - Johan Hemminger, Dreams co-founder. Dreams have partnered with Wildhood to tell their story in the field.
The Film
Protecting Giants is a unique short film in which filmmaker and photographer Geran de Klerk joined Wildhood for a week on the ground in South Africa. The area (Hoedspruit) is one of the most crucial to protect, as it is home to the majority of our world’s remaining rhino.
100% of all donations made to Wildhood Foundation goes towards conservation.
